 Honey and Lemon Mask

Whenever wondering how to remove sun tan, feel free to think of lemon as your skin’s friend. It’s a natural bleaching agent. Take a tablespoon of lemon juice and mix it with a tablespoon of honey. Apply it to your face. Leave it for 30 minutes and then, wash it off with cold water. 

Gram Flour and Turmeric Mask

The classic. Both besan and turmeric are excellent for skin brightening. Take 2 tablespoons of gram flour and half tablespoon of turmeric. Mix it with milk or curd to make a paste. Apply it to your face and body. After it dries, scrub it off with lukewarm water.  

Yoghurt and Tomato Mask

Tomatoes have antioxidants that help in skin brightening. Yoghurt has lactic acid which softens the skin. Take some fresh tomato juice and mix it with 2 tablespoons of yoghurt. Apply it on the affected areas and let it sit for 20 minutes. Wash it off with cold water after.

Cucumber Extract

Cucumber is well-known for its calming effect on the skin. Its cooling nature helps in removing the tan. Shred a fresh cucumber and squeeze the juice out of it. Use a cotton ball to apply the juice to the skin. Allow it to dry and then, wash it off. You can also add lemon juice to cucumber water if you wish to.

Potato Juice

Known as a natural bleaching agent, potato juice is mostly used to lighten the dark circles around your eyes. Grate a potato and squeeze its juice. Apply it to the affected areas. For your eyes and face, you can also use thin potato slices directly. Keep it on for 10-15 minutes and wash it off after it dries. 

Oatmeal and Buttermilk Mask

Oatmeal is good for skin cleansing and exfoliating, it also helps in lightening the skin complexion with time. Buttermilk is packed with lactic acid that improves skin tone and softens the skin. Take 2 teaspoons of oatmeal and soak it in water for a few minutes. Add 2 teaspoons of buttermilk to it. Add a teaspoon of honey to the mixture as well to reap the moisturising benefits. Mix it well and apply it to your face and body. Leave it for 25-30 minutes. Then, wash it off with cold water.

Red Lentil, Aloe Vera and Tomato Mask

Red lentil is highly effective when it comes to sun tan. Tomato juice brightens the skin while aloe vera soothes it. This mask leaves your skin feeling moisturised. Soak 3 teaspoons of red lentil in water for a few hours. Blend it after to make a thick paste. Add a teaspoon of aloe vera gel and 2 teaspoons of fresh tomato juice. Blend it properly and apply it to your tanned areas. Allow it to stay for 25-30 minutes. Then, massage it gently while rinsing off with cold water.
